Kindergarten and Grade 3 on Birdwatching trip by the Lake Papis

On Monday, May 18th,  Kindergarten and Grade 3 had a great opportunity to go on a birdwatching field trip to the Lake Papis. Birdwatching tour was given by a highly knowledgeable  guide from Lithuanian Ornithological Society who enjoyed guiding and made this field trip a pleasant experience for the students. The purpose of this trip was to learn about endangered bird species in Lithuania and appreciate their natural habitat. Students could explore bird life in nature using special binoculars and telescopes. They had a chance to see some Lithuanian endangered bird species, too. They saw Black - Headed Gulls, Northern Pintail Ducks, Tufted Ducks, Mute Swans, Eagles and Hawk.  - Ms. Egle Vidutytė, AISV Librarian and Ms. Julija Bliumaitė, IT Teacher
