Grade 10 Visits Kaunas

2017.05.12

On May 10th, grade 10 students had a very educational and fun trip to the second largest city  of Lithuania — Kaunas. The first stop of the trip was at Pažaislis Monastery, which is the largest monastery complex in Lithuania consisting of beautiful Baroque architecture. The students got to walk around this beautiful complex and learn about its history. After the monastery visit and a quick lunch, the students moved on to the museums. The group split into native and non-native Lithuanian groups. The non-natives enjoyed a trip to the M.K. Čiurlionio art museum, while the native Lithuanian speakers went to the Maironio museum. At the Maironio museum the students enjoyed a very interesting and interactive excursion. They got to play a game in which they had to answer clues by remembering previous facts about Maironis in order to move on to the next clue and win the game. All in all, the tenth grade trip to Kaunas was a great and unforgettable experience for all of the students. - By Virginija, gr. 10 student
