Welcome to AISV
The American International School of Vilnius has a diverse community, connecting students of over 30 different nationalities. We have inspiring teachers who empower students to thrive as life-long learners. Our welcoming community helps every student realize their personal potential, inspire the pursuit of passions, and empower them to be active citizens in a diverse world.
The American International School of Vilnius welcomes learners from a wide range of national, cultural, and educational backgrounds and abilities. Students can be admitted to AISV throughout the school year as long as there are places available and a suitable program of study can be offered.
Once the application and other required forms are completed, the applicant will be considered for admission.
AISV can provide educational services for a carefully managed number of students with a range of physical, academic, or emotional needs. It should be noted, however, that the school has limited resources to serve students’ special needs; if a student requires additional testing, one-to-one support, and/or external consultation, additional payment will be required.
Parents/guardians making an application must provide all information on a student’s academic and behavioral achievement and needs. In some cases, the Admissions Committee may request additional information such as test results, etc. If information is withheld or not provided, AISV reserves the right to decline enrollment or terminate the enrollment agreement.
For additional questions, please contact the Admissions Office.

AISV understands that a student may have individual talents and abilities that justify an exception to this policy, but the Admissions Committee will use concrete, factual data to reach their decision regarding placement. To determine if an exception to the general policy is warranted, the committee will consider references from the previous school and initial assessment results, especially in developmental and attentive abilities, English and Math, to determine if there are reasons to move a student beyond the indicated grade.
AISV admits students regardless of race, sex, religion, physical ability, sexual orientation, gender expression, national or ethnic origin. However, the School’s program is challenging and requires high levels of motivation and commitment from every student. Admission is granted to students who demonstrate motivation and commitment to reach their personal potential. As a strong learning community, we expect families to engage fully with the school, supporting both its educational philosophy and community activities. The applicant's grade placement is based on age and past records.
